Bull Elk fight for mating rights deep within the Rocky Mountains every September. I made my way to a familiar meadow in search of watching this spectacular event. Though this meadow has become a familiar landscape, the presence of elk and weather transform any scene into something entirely new. A cold front was moving in right at sunrise and brining with it low lying fog. This bull elk was on the move seeking to reclaim his harem he lost moments before to another challenger.
